Please join us for a fun-filled morning and learn many exciting watercolor techniques at the Millsboro Art League on Saturday, February 4th, from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Dot will be demonstrating her techniques on how to paint mottled skies, rocks as in fields and yards, winter deciduous trees/evergreens, scrub grasses(unmanicured yards and fields), how and where to scrape, sponge, and spatter and applying shadows. If time permits she will also demo windows and shutters.
Students will need their usual watercolors and brushes, a fine line brush, slender blade palette knife, a small natural sponge and an old credit card to cut up for one technique. You should bring good quality watercolor paper, Dot will be using Arches 140 cold press. Students can use watercolor paper as small as 5 x 8 and up, as well as the backs of old paintings after she demos.
After Dot finishes her demonstration, the Art League will be opened all afternoon for your painting pleasure. There will be a small fee of $20.00 for this outstanding demo .
