Light and color flood the canvasses of Claude Monet with beauty beyond compare. Graceful images of his home at Giverney, the seasonal, timeless charm of the rustic haystack, and the loveliest of scenes - luminous waterlilies in a pond - endure as Monet's legacy to the world of art/ This film brings you Monet's story as an artist and giant of the Impressionist movement using his own words with excerpts from journals, personal interviews and , of course, his magnificent paintings.
The class will meet every two weeks starting on September 30th from 9:30am to 12:30pm. There will be various projects. If interested, you need to contact Sally Doak at 945-9729 or gransal@mchsi.com There will be a pattern and prep list supplied for each project.This class will be done with bottle acrylics, possible to convert to tube acrylics. Surfaces will vary - wood, tin, your choice for most projects. Students must bring their own paints and miscellaneous brushes and supplies. There is a $12.00 fee for each class to be paid to MAL.
